The City of Moncton has reached a historic milestone in 2025, issuing a record-breaking $477.9 million in building permits, the highest annual total in the city's history.

Codiac Transpo advises riders that detours will be in place on several routes on Saturday, Jan. 17, to accommodate the Hockey Day in Canada festivities at the Avenir Centre/Downtown Place.

Ahead of next week’s Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada festivities, the Stanley Cup will be on display and available to the community for photos this Saturday, Jan. 10 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. outside the Avenir Centre.
